OBJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMAGE SESSION
A wide field area of the north west corner of Carina (The Keel) Constellation. A vast variety of deep sky objects can be seen in this image. The frame is rotated 90 degrees mainly dominated by RCW54 nebula complex.
This enormous nebular region lies in the direction of the Car OB2 association and parts of it may be ionised by stars in that association. Australian astronomer Collin Stanley Gum splits this region into several distinct nebulae and the RCW catalogue itself splits the region into four sub nebulae, which are described separately as RCW 54a, 54b, 54c and 54d and indicated in the annotated image below
