OBJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMAGE SESSION
Longmore 3 is one of the first Planetary Nebula (PN) that shows up in southern constellation of Puppis in the spring/summer season. It is relative large for my set up and it has a strong emission in the O3 light frequency. There are just a few color images of this Planetary which is also known as Wray 17-1. The object has a complex morphology, almost round and it has some faint outer arms which are barely visible in the image. The center of the nebula contains some HII emission component that showed up easily during the pre-processing.
There is a faint reddish emission background in the sky background which is part of bigger Gum 12. The nebula is located 6 arc minutes from magnitude 5.7 PR Puppis; also visible at the upper left QW Puppis shining at magnitude 4.4. t
