OBJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMAGE SESSION

A non frequently imaged Open Cluster in the Constellation of Puppis. This is a rich pleasing cluster that includes variable R Puppis (6.5 -6.71) is the bright Orange Star located in the North East edge and it is in the line of sight of the cluster. The object is about 10 million years old and can be seen through small telescopes.

Getting used with the AT RC 8" f8. In this case using 10 minutes subs and trying to pull back some data from my backyard bright sky. The IDAS LPS filter in luminance help a bit to mitigate light pollution and to provide contrast for the luminance channel
