OBJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMAGE SESSION

More than 2 degrees east from the well known Eta Carina Nebula lies a small and probably more distant nebula: NGC 3503. A small emission nebula with a dim reflection halo probably ionized by the central group of stars. It lies in a rich star field crossed by large areas of HII. There are not much photographs over this object. It is clear overwhelmed by its closer neighbour the Eta Carina Nebula.
