OBJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMAGE SESSION

A loose but bright open cluster in the Constellation of Triangulum Australis. It was discovered by French astronomer Nicolas Louis de Lacaille from South Africa in 1752. The cluster has an irregular shape and it contains about 30 stars of magnitude 7 and fainter. It lies at the boundary of the Constellation of Norma (*). A good target for binoculars. It can be located at roughly 3 degrees north from Beta Trianguli Australi (2.83). This is the first object I have imaged from this Constellation.
