OBJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMAGE SESSION

One of the brightest open star clusters in the southern constellation of Norma. With little condensation, NGC 6087 presents an irregular shape. It gathers approximately 40 members between magnitude 7 to 11. Because is located close to the galaxy plane, the background present a dense star field. The object was discovered by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop in 1826.
