OBJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMAGE SESSION

NGC 6337 is a small but bright planetary nebula in the constellation of Scorpius 2.5º from the scorpion sting. It is a rare type of because it contains a binary nucleolus in its core. The bright inner ring of the nebula is presume to be the equatorial density enhancement. The nebula contains a number of low ionization knots which are the result of the processing outflows from the central stars.

Although the transparency was quite limited due to my typical neighborhood bright skies, the seeing conditions were very good and some detail inside the rings and even the stars were revealed.
