OBJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMAGE SESSION

Discovered by William Herschel in July the 21st 1784, NGC 6772 looks like a pearl surrounded by countless stars. Located 3º NE from lambda Aquilae, this nebula requires large aperture telescopes to be seen. NGC 6772 presents an shape that resemble a parallelogram with its edges well delineated. The mentioned structure could be caused by the rotation of the central star during the ejection process or by the presence of a gravitational effect from a neighbor star. As most Planetary Nebula its distance from Earth is very difficult to determinate.
